The ONLY 5 Lenses You Need For PRO Photos & Videos
Hey everyone! đź‘‹
Let’s talk about lenses! I mean who doesn’t like a good lens? :)
As a professional photographer and a YouTuber in the camera niche, then over the last eight years, I’ve tested a LOT of glass.
And today, I want to share my top five full-frame lenses that I just couldn’t live without.
Ready? Let’s dive in!
🌍 My Versatile Wide Angle!
Small, lightweight, and built like a tank—this lens is perfect for wide shots and vlogging.
With fast, silent autofocus and an f/2.8 aperture, it can be a lifesaver in tricky low-light conditions.
This is the Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8, but… I wish it had a bit more range—16-35mm would’ve been ideal—and it does need correction profiles to handle vignetting and barrel distortion.
Still, a solid choice for a compact setup!
🌙 Low-Light Mazzter
My go-to for talking-head videos and one of the sharpest lenses I own.
It’s lightweight at just 373g, and the chromatic aberration is pretty much non-existent.
Meet the Sony 20mm f/1.8. Perfect for creators needing versatility and precision.
🏆️ The All-Rounder
This is the lens that lives on my camera, like, 72% of the time.
It’s versatile, razor-sharp, and delivers excellent quality across a range of focal lengths.
Whether you’re shooting wide-angle or zooming in, this lens just works.
Say hello to the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8. It’s a bit hefty at 835g, but the flexibility makes it worth every gram imo.
đź‘‘ The Portrait King
My friend, I’m ngl, using this lens feels like cheating.
It’s razor-sharp, with buttery smooth bokeh and stunning overall image quality. Portraits? Game-changer.
This is the Sigma 85mm f/1.4—an absolute favorite for anyone looking to up their portrait game.
At 625g, it’s surprisingly manageable too!
🦌 The Wildlife (& Landscape!, & Portrait!) Beast
This lens is a masterpiece for capturing everything from portraits to wildlife (and landscapes!).
The image quality is stunning, and the zoom range makes it endlessly versatile.
I’m talking about the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 II. It’s pricey and heavy (1,045g), but it’s worth every penny.
What’s your go-to lens?
Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear what’s in your kit.
Catch you next Sunday!
Cheers,
